Interesting Facts

Carmen started crewing for hot air balloons in 1994. After her first flight she knew that she had to learn to fly.  She received her Private pilot’s license in 2000 and her Commercial license in 2001.

Carmen now owns Tierramadre, flying in the Willamette Valley and traveling as much as possible to balloon rallies around the western US. Since 2016 she has now flown in all western states at balloon rallies or just for the fun of flying. Carmen says ballooning creates life-long friendships and families.
